The Press Review
CD-ROM was developed using Microsoft products. Consequently, its correct
use with other similar browsers cannot be guaranteed. The “Press Review” WEB area was developed principally using standard Microsoft standard fonts. Should these fonts not be installed on your computer, the pages will be displayed with the default browser ones. This simply means that WEB pages can appear differently from their intentional design.
From the stargate.htm
page, the Press Review areas are accessible, sorted according to their
product lines.
In other words,
this opens a “Newsstand” page, including the links to all the listed
headers. On the other hand, click on the -Press Review Analysis- page with
the links to all files containing charts and graphs covering the
analytical study of the published articles. This release of “The Press Review” sees a preference for an analysis of the individual items per product, so as to create a report that illustrates how the press wrote, both generically and specifically for the articles taken into consideration, subject matter of the report, be it a product presentation or a test-drive. Specifically, the study is focussed on identifying the items that represent the technical and dynamic features of the model in order to underline the appreciation given by colleagues of daily and specialist journals. This method enables you to understand what were the most (or least) interesting product features for the journalists. Note: please remember use monitor at 1024*768 |

In
the analysis chart per “AP” index, a rating of “eight”
means that the item and/or issue was treated thoroughly in the article.
The assessment and description of a product or its particular feature
should have a minimum level of excellence, given that it refers to “a
Volvo” and is consequently awarded appropriate texts and spaces in its
publications. The assigning of the “Quality Index” and “Product Analysis” ratings derives from reading the articles published for each product line and its relative launch and promotion news, and the analysis of the same articles applying the “Press Review” product. The Quality Index, which contributes to defining the journal’s outline in addition to the article’s value, concerns any journal that published a report or an article on the model under examination. The number assigned to each publication shows the journal’s objective value relating to printing, diffusion, number of readers and price lists of advertisements (author’s note, source: Advertising Data&Rates), as well as the spaces, titles and photos dedicated to the model, also present on the Press Review WEB pages. The Product Analysis index is an indicator reserved to a limited number of papers - daily and periodical journals - upon agreement with Volvo Auto Italy/Public Relations Dept. This is the sum of ratings, in accordance with the legend attached to the Management Summary, assigned to each word or item concurring to describe a technical or dynamic feature and/or model. The higher the number representing the expressed value, the more the model was treated thoroughly and appraised in the article under examination. The graphs published in this edition of the Press Review synthesise, per analytical item group having a similar technical or dynamic feature, how the model was presented, via the journalists’ articles, permitting an immediate reading of the satisfaction expressed and the tendency shown towards the different features of the model itself. |
